Two ways to
get involved.
Submit an abstract, sponsor the programme, propose a partnership, ask a question, or volunteer to join the jury panel — everything starts here. The official abstract submission form opens in a new tab.
Submit your abstract
Submit your abstract for review.
Submission is free — registration and the competition fee are only requested by email once your abstract passes the preliminary screening.
Before you start.
- Form your team. 1–5 members. Name a team leader who will receive all communication.
- Pick a category. Schools, Universities & TVET, or Open / Industry & Startups.
- Pick a track. One of eight — Product, UX/UI, Workplace, Mobility, Healthcare, Inclusive, Sustainable, or AI & HF.
- Write a 300–500 word concept brief. Plus 3 visuals (sketches, renders or storyboard).
- Submit. By 31 July 2026.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions.
The most common questions from teams, schools and prospective sponsors. Anything else, write to the secretariat.
Do I have to be in Malaysia to compete?
No. International teams are welcome and the early stages are fully online. Only the grand finalists need to attend in person at WTCKL on 23 September 2026.
Is submission free?
Yes — abstract submission is free. Registration and the competition fee only apply once your abstract passes the preliminary screening; instructions are sent by email.
Do I need a working prototype?
Not at the start. Concept briefs are evaluated on idea, problem framing and ergonomic value. A prototype or working demo is only needed for the grand final.
Can a school enter multiple teams?
Yes. There is no cap per institution. We encourage clusters — schools and universities often field 3–6 teams across different tracks.
Who owns the IP of submitted designs?
You do. ErgoLympic only requests permission to feature finalist work in the e-book, recap reel and post-event publicity, with full credit to the team.
How do I become a jury member or mentor?
Email the technical desk with a short bio and area of expertise. The jury panel is finalised by mid-June 2026.
